Know what happens before checkout.
Before vs after
Drag the handle. Left: what shoppers find today. Right: a first screen that says what happens before checkout.

See it in motion
A still can't show the hero, the menus or how fast you reach the main action. These are ten-second visits to each version, captured the same way.
The reasoning, in order
Three changes for the work that costs the most.
An expensive oil can carry COLLECTION ONLY and a shipping warning inside the description — under an Add to Cart button that looks the same as a greeting card.
Change: Collection, shipping-quote and no-returns terms sit against each original before the buying action, not underneath it.
Hundreds of originals are listed and many have already sold. Landing on one from a search or share reaches a full stop.
Change: A sold piece offers available work by the same artist and the gallery's current collection, so the visit continues.
The shop already has working filters for price, artist, product type and stock. The menu asks first which of many makers you want — useful only if you already know them.
Change: Product, occasion and price lead the way in; place stays as an optional local route; the shop's existing filters are named on the page rather than replaced.
Sources & limits
Clear about what is real.
Captured from the public Painted Earth shop on 3 August 2026. Address, hours, phone, shipping and returns terms, artwork titles, artists, prices and sold status come from the shop's own pages. The gallery sentence and visitor review are quoted from the Art & Craft Gallery page, read on 6 August 2026 — that page publishes no review dates, so none are shown.
No artwork is shown. Every tile is a drawn placeholder: Painted Earth sells work by many makers and the shop does not hold publishable rights to all of that photography. Each tile links to the real product on their site.
This was not commissioned or approved by Painted Earth. It is a free website idea: make fulfilment clear before checkout on original art.
